Cherries are so nice. They taste delicious, and they look fabulous on clothing. As you can see, the doll on the left is looking very fashionable in her cherry, polka-dotted top. So, what kind of fruits do you guys like?

Random-ish, but look at these "Paradise Red Cherries, Whole, 16 Ounce Tubs (Pack of 3)" - available for only $17.22 at Amazon.com!

Don't they look delicious?

I, also, suggest you check out these "Rhinestone Cherry Earrings" - available for only $6.50 at GoJane.com!

Those Eyes

>February 06, 2011
Okay, I love this. Look at this; is this an amazing work of art or what? Seriously, there's so much meaning within this photo: dark, sad, mysterious, wistful, fearless - I could go on and on. My very favorite part about this doll is, by far, his eyes; I love the color, and I don't even know what color they are - gold, maybe? All I know is that they're so round and so shiny, and I love them! The doll's name is Muse, and yes: he's a boy. Oh, and P.S. I got a little interview with Muse's owner - must read!

What would you describe your DeviantArt gallery as?: My world, my thoughts and myself.

Where does the inspiration for all your beautiful photos come from?: From anywhere. I get my inspiration from all things around me, but Japan and the band Plastic Tree are two big inspirations.

What do you like about dolls?: You can create them as you want and give them a whole own life. Make an own story with them.

*Bonus Photos!*

Honestly, you guys, the girl has so many amazing photos of her doll, Muse - I had a hard time figuring out which ones to share on this blog. Some of my other favorites included: "Best safety lies in Fear .1.", "Together again", "Border of Taboo .4.", and "Happy Halloween 2" - I suggest all of you have a look at them!

List of celebrity dolls.

^ Interesting how so many different types of celebrities have dolls. I used to love my Christina Aguilera doll. Hey, Christina's dolls get their own separate wiki? ~~~> Link here.

Speaking of Christina....

Her new movie, "Burlesque", looks pretty cool. I love musicals; I plan on watching it sometime soon - I hope it's good.

The movie is available for only $18.99 at Amazon.com!

Still Searching....

Another makeover for the blog! Whenever I take a break from this blog, I feel the need to give it a makeover - weird. Anyway, I'm not really sure whether or not I prefer this template over the last one. May I ask what you guys think? Oh, and I'm still searching for free templates, so if you guys happen to come across sites with really nice ones, please, let me know - thanks!

P.S. Happy Winter!

So, how's the weather?

Photos Courtesy of poisonapple00.DeviantArt.com
First post of September! Apologies, you guys, I've been having trouble finding things for this blog; it's not as easy as it may look. Still, of course, I love working on this blog - but don't just want to post anything on here; I want only the best for you guys, such as.... two amazingly beautiful drawings! The artist's name is Caroline, and she was so nice. I mean, really, just read the interview (I was able to get with her) below, and you'll see how nicely she answered each and every question. Ah, I love complimenting people; it's too much fun! Anyway, as I was saying, there's an interview below; stroll down to check it out. Also, for more beautiful photos, be sure to check out Caroline's DeviantArt gallery!

--What inspired you to take those pictures?: Hmm. What inspired me..I was doing my science homework and coloring in pi charts. I got bored and started doodling and drawing suns and clouds. (:

What's your favorite thing to take pictures of?:
My favorite thing to take pictures of are flowers, especially when they have great contrast and some sort of bug on them. (:

What type of pencils are those in the pictures?:
The pencils in those pictures are Crayola, I believe.

What was the weather like, the day you took those pictures?:
The weather was partially cloudy out if I can remember correctly.

Did you use PhotoShop, or any other program/software, for those pictures?:
I'm not the best at photoshop, so I just stick to using the editing software iPhoto (it came automatically on my iMac). Thanks(:-- The End.

Sweet 16

Greetings, peeps! I just thought I'd let all of you know that today is my blog's 1 month anniversary! Oh, and my 16th birthday - which I haven't been looking forward to at all this year, long story, but I suppose it's turning out a little better than I thought it would. I don't really like receiving gifts; I feel bad seeing people spend their hard working cash on me, and so I'm kind of disappointed that I got so many gifts - but, you know, I'm still really thankful for everything that's been given to me from my family and friends + online friends! I really do appreciate all the"Happy Birthday" wishes, and yeah.... Thank you, everybody! Take care.

Still Life

Photo Courtesy of Flickr.com's member, "phiafacerukia"
What a lovely photo. Her hair is so nice! I love that little necklace she has on; goes perfectly with her dress. I'm also fascinated with the angle + the lighting of the photo; great shot! As you figured, there's an interview below - with the owner of the doll. She was so kind. She answered all of the questions with tons of details! Once you guys are done reading the interview, please, be sure to visit Persephany Resendez's Flickr - "phiafacerukia"; she's got dozens of other wonderful photos on there! For now, lets get to the interview I had with her, shall we? The quick interview is below!

--What inspired you to take this picture?: Well at the time I was still attending high school and my photography teacher had placed us all in a state contest. One of the portfolio themes was called Still Life. Which means make something thats not alive appear alive. I had nothing for it. Until a couples days afterwards I was laying on my bed and I looked up and saw all my porcelain dolls above my tv. I was like "oh wow duh!" So I grabbed my most expensive one and took her outside and wah-lah she became alive. haha

Besides dolls, what else do you enjoy taking pictures of?: I take alot of informal portraits, but I use the emotional impact twist on them. It's like when you look at a picture you feel something towards it. Example like baby picture reaction "awww cute". Haha I do happen to take a lot of my baby cousin. But I done two weddings for the family and of course birthday parties.

What type of dolls are those in the picture (Barbie, Blythe, Bratz, etc....)?: That doll was from the Genuine Fine Bisque Porcelain Collection, she is the largest one I have haha. I used her because she had a lot of detail in her look.

Did you use PhotoShop, or any other program/software, for the picture?: I used photoshop to crop her face more, at first I was going to sumbit her whole face showing then while talking with my photography teacher we both decided its best to crop her face like the way it is. It shows more attitude well kind of creepy as well.
--

Done reading the interview? Good! Now you can check out Resendez's Flickr - "phiafacerukia"; I think you'll be surprised at how nice it is.... Seriously, you've got to check it out!

Hey, It's Anita!

Photo Courtesy of GaiaOnline's member, "x_xPockySaurx_x".
Blog readers!

Do you guys see this? Isn't this way awesome? This puts a smile on my face; seriously, I'm smiling right now. Remember the post I did a couple of weeks ago? Titled "Autumn Through the Leaves"? I had so much fun creating that post. The girl who I interviewed for that post is just so nice. Her name is Anita, and you see that "Just Lola" digital drawing right there? Anita drew it for me, with Photoshop and SAI, as a "thank you" for blogging about her. Isn't that the sweetest? I love this picture. It's thousand times better than any "Just Lola" drawing I've ever drawn, that's for sure. Thanks a handful, Anita!

Oh, and P.S. She has a very nice Tumblr - click here to check it out.

Tokio Hotel - again!!!!
Hey, you guys - guess what! I got an interview with the owner of those awesome Tokio Hotel dolls! She saw my post about them, and then gave me her email, therefore, I was able to contact her! I love how the interview went; I got to - not only ask her about the dolls, but about Tokio Hotel, and just music in general. The interview is below!

--What inspired you to photograph dolls?: Seeing other people's pictures of their dolls, and recognizing the possibilities they DIDN'T explore, generally.

What inspired you to take this picture?: Tom's owner (my BFF) have been talking about visiting Berlin for 2 years, mainly to do some research for a series of fics we're writing together. The fics include the Tokio Hotel boys, and most of our dolls are characters from the fics. When we finally got to go to Berlin, the 3 Tokio Hotel look-a-like boys were a natural choice to bring. We wanted to take pictures of the boys with well-known Berlin landmarks, and the wall pieces at Potsdamer Platz were a natural choice, as they are accessible, and most people know about the Wall. The boys pose came natural, as the wind was heavy that day, and leaning to the wall was the only way to make them stand ;-)

Besides dolls, what else do you enjoy taking pictures of?: Generally people I love, and little things that make my life rich, like foods, tiny objects I appreciate and rooms I like. I also love taking pics of my daughter when she's dressed up or helping me out with the dolls.

What type of dolls are those in the picture (Barbie, Blythe, Bratz, etc....)?: They are all ball jointed dolls in "Super Dollfie" (SD) size. Bill is a limited IpleHouse Mars from 2008. Tom is a Soom Lupin. Georg is a LeekeDoll Brown limited head on a Soom Super Gem body. Both Soom bodies have jointed hands.

Did you use PhotoShop, or any other program/software, for the picture?: No. I may sometimes use PS to crop pics, but by default I never change anything before posting. This is mainly because I use a lot of time getting the angle and light right in the first place, but also because I don't trust my laptop screen to be correct, as there's no way of adjusting colours or light.

What's your favorite Tokio Hotel song?: I think World Behind My Wall and Dogs Unleashed at the moment, but it changes with my mood. The Humanoid City version of Noise, par example, is fantastic, but a bit noisy :-)

How long have you been a fan of Tokio Hotel for?: I discovered the band in a TV commercial in 2007, but I had seen pictures of Bill online before that. I got the Monsoon single for my daughter (born in 2000) since she liked the song, but I ended up getting all the albums, DVDs and books for myself.

What inspired you to photograph dolls?: Seeing other people's pictures og their dolls, and recognizing the possibilities they DIDN'T explore, generally.

Besides Tokio Hotel, what other bands do you listen to?: It varies a lot - I'm 35 years old, so I have a lot of former favourite bands to choose from. Still, at the moment, Lady Gaga, 30 seconds to mars and Madcon are some faves. I also listen to other Norwegian singers/bands, like Karpe Diem and Alexander Rybak. I'm pretty versatile, and I change music with my mood or what mood I want to create.-- The End.

Okay, first of all, I suggest all of you go to Deviantart and check out the rest of this girl's doll photos; her username is "ramendoodles". Now, back to the post. Really, I just love the realism in this photo. I've got to get one of those ball jointed dolls, because I just find them so fascinating. Okay, so the owner of the photo gave me permission to post it up, and you want to know what else they gave me? That's right, an interview. This girl was just so kind and friendly; I had fun interviewing her. The quick interview is below + some more photos!

--What inspired you to take this picture?:
The shape of the gazebo :D It had this nice round opening and reminded me of those old wooden roller coasters... so I sat Sakki (my doll) on it and played around with angles till I got a fun shot.

Besides dolls, what else do you enjoy taking pictures of?:
I really only take pics of my dolls (laughs). Aside from snapshots of my friends and family, you know, "normal" stuff. ;) The only thing I try to be artsy about is the doll photography. (nod)

What type of dolls are those in the picture (Barbie, Blythe, Bratz, etc....)?:
Sakki is an Asian ball-jointed doll: a Volks Super Dollfie Cute Kurenai to be exact.

Did you use PhotoShop, or any other program/software, for the picture?:
Not for this one in particular. The only thing I ever do with PhotoShop for my photos is try to correct color or sometimes edit out stray hairs - those wigs can be tricky!! Hope I answered your questions to your satisfaction :D

Aww, you sure did, lol; thank you so very much! :D Really, I can't wait to post your amazing photos, along with this amazing interview, on my blog. :):
Sure no prob (nod)--The End.

I just got a twitter account! Well, a new twitter account, that is. I also created a background specifically for my (twitter) profile with MS Paint, Paint.net, GIMP, and.... my mouse! So yeah, the picture is below - along with my username.

I kind of wanted it to have a summer vibe, since it is summer, so there you go: sunshine, sand, ice cream, and shades. I hope you guys like it! My username is "Just_Me_Lola", so feel free to follow me; I love to follow back - just saying.

The Lives of Dolls

Isn't this incredible? When I first saw this picture, I knew I wanted to share it on this blog, but I really didn't expect to figure out who the lovely picture rightfully belonged to, but luckily - I was wrong. It belonged to a very nice, young woman who was kind enough to, not only let me post up her picture, but to ask her a few questions about it, as well. The quick interview is below + some more pictures!

--What inspired you to take this picture?: I just wanted some nice pictures of my guy doll after giving him a new faceup (painting/customizing the faces). I was posing them around on my porch and areas around my house and just taking pictures and posing them.

Besides dolls, what else do you enjoy taking pictures of?: I take a lot of cosplay pictures at various conventions and things like that. I also like taking pictures of nature and stuff around me, if anything for drawing reference.

What type of dolls are those in the picture (Barbie, Blythe, Bratz, etc....)?: Ball Jointed Dolls, the girl is an Angel of Dream Juli (58 cm) and the guy is a Soom Spinel (62 cm). Both were entirely customized by me, with some bought clothing.

Did you use PhotoShop, or any other program/software, for the picture?: Just photoshop. Namely, I did a little bit of cropping and then used some photoshop effects to spruce up the colors.

Awesome! Thanks a ton for the little interview; I appreciate it so very much - along with the friend request you've sent me (on GaiaOnline.com), lol. ;D Now this interview is going on my blog with the picture, alright?:
No problem! :3 I have more pictures of dolls somewhere. But I've switched computers 3 times, so I have to figure out where they're stored.--

Well, there you have it; the quick interview. I hope all of you enjoyed reading it, and there are more quick interviews to come, so stick around, and check out
Valkyrie.nu - the site the photos are credited to.
